Today is Remembrance Day commemorating the end of the Great War some 91 years ago and the Wall Street Journal has posted a wonderful photo essay showing various remembrance related events around the world. In addition, several bloggers have written their own tributes to the soldiers who fought in the Great War or for that matter, in all wars. Aviatrix, the blogger behind Cockpit Conversation, has written a wonderful tribute to the Canadians who fought in the Great War while David Cenciotti has posted a number of photos on his blog showing the departure of the helicopters to attend the Armed Forces Day celebration in Rome and the actual celebration itself. However, David Parker Brown has posted an entry on the AirlineReporter simply saying:
Thank you to all of those who have served and are currently serving in the military!
Please make sure to thank (and hug) a Veteran or two today!
We could not have said it better…
