Yahoo! Sports’ ThePostGame has brought our attention to a video of professional extreme athlete Erik Roner attempting to pull off one of Mary Poppins’ signature moves – descending to earth with an umbrella. To do so, he hitched an umbrella to an air balloon and set himself free at a certain height.
Of course and if you have ever walked down a street against a strong wind, it takes little imagination as to what happened next as the air pressure turned the umbrella inside out. That forced him to ditch the umbrella and rely on a parachute:
No word on whether Mary Poppins packed an extra parachute in case the same thing ever happened to her; but then again, she relied a bit on magic!
